Privacy policy
Voedi is designed with families in mind: your logs about feeding, growth and care are sensitive. This statement explains in plain language how the app handles them. For questions, contact the publisher via the support channel in the app store listing (once published) or the contact details shown there.
1. Who is responsible?
The controller for personal data in the app is the party that publishes the app on the App Store / Google Play Store. You will find the exact legal name and address in the store listing.
2. What data does the app process?
Depending on how you use Voedi, you may enter and store data such as:
- Information about your child (for example name, date of birth or feeding type, if you choose to enter them)
- Feeding and care logs (for example meals, milk, diapers, supplements, growth)
- Product and meal information you add to your library
- Technical settings needed for notifications or camera/barcode features
3. Where is the data stored?
A core principle of Voedi is that your data stays on your phone by default, in a local database (SQLite via Room). The app is configured so that automatic cloud backup of this data by the operating system is not used for child and feeding data: explicit backup and transfer rules apply. If you want a copy, you can export yourself where the feature is available (More screen in the app).
4. Internet connection and AI
Some features, such as fetching product information or AI-assisted analysis, require an internet connection. Requests to AI services are not made with secret keys embedded in the app: sensitive keys are kept server-side (for example behind a secure proxy). Content you send to such a service (for example a description of a meal or eating pattern) may be processed by the AI provider when you use that feature.
5. Supabase and product catalogue
The app may connect to a Supabase environment for, among other things, a product catalogue. Only intended requests are sent; row-level security may provide additional protection for configured tables. Also review Supabase’s and your AI provider’s privacy policies if needed.
6. Payments
Subscriptions or one-off purchases (such as Voedi Premium) are processed through Apple or Google. They handle payment data under their own terms; we typically do not receive full card details.
7. Retention
Data remains on your device until you delete the app, clear data or — where available — export and then remove it locally. Server logs at external providers may have separate retention periods.
8. Rights under the GDPR
If you live in the European Economic Area, you have rights including access, rectification, restriction of processing, data portability (where applicable) and objection. Because much data is stored locally on your device, you can often exercise these fastest by managing or deleting data in the app. For requests to the publisher, use the contact details in the store listing.
9. Changes
We may update this statement when features or legal requirements change. The date at the top will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or via the store.
10. Disclaimer
Voedi provides information and structure for logging feeding and care; it is not a medical product. For health concerns, always consult a qualified professional.
